The Aristocats

This is a walt disney book.
This is a story about a woman and a man. This woman has some cat's but these cat's aren't ordinery cat's they were aristocat's. One day a man called Edgar wanted to drown the cat's . So he catnapped them to the railway track's but while he was going two silly dog's gave him a terrible fright so they chased him all the way home. Then when they were having there milk Edgar put some sleeping pills in there milk. So when they were all asleep, except Edgar he took the cats on the railway tracks and left them there. Then a big fast train came by and ripped open the bag, and they were free at last, but not for long as Duchess pushed the bag in the water. Another whoosh of a train pushed Marie off the bridge. One of the alley cats heard the name of that cat and it was Thomas O'Malley. Then he gave a little grin to the Aristocats. He then dived into the water and rescued Marie and jumped high enough to land back on the bridge safely.
Then the cats arrived Edgar opened the door then he put a big sack over the cats and he even captured Thomas O'Malley.
I enjoyed reading because I loved every part of it as it was very interesting and funny reading about cats and how they help and work together.

Why's the cow on the roof?

This book was written by: Robert leeson
This is a book about a girl called Kari and her husband called Ola. They both live on a farm with their baby, the cow and the pig that they are saving for later in the year, for their ham, pork chops and bacon.
Ola goes ot every morning over the hill to the farm to work while Kari stays at home and cooks cleans, tidies up, feeds the cow and pig and looks after the baby. Every evening kari goes over the hill to call out to Ola that his dinner is ready, but one evening she forgot to go and call out to him as she lost track of time while she was tending to the porridge and playing with the baby. Ola saw that and he thought she doesnt do any work other then cook the porridge and play with the baby, so Kari said to him let us swap our duties for the day.
Ola agrees and then he sid to himself this is easy, but he did not realise that Kari feeds the cow and the pig, and then she milks the cow so that she can churn the butter and then she tidys the house and washes and then feeds the baby and then cooks his dinner for him.
He then goes and milks the cow and then gets ready to churn the milk but it takes too long for him to churn the butter so he goes into the cellar for a dring of beer. As he was getting his drink the pig got in and spilt all butter and the baby was covered in butter, and then he remembered that the cow needs feeding so he directed the cow to the roof and tidied him to his leg so that the cow does not slip. But it all went wrong when the cow started moving and Ola made such a mess that he didnt even make Karis dinner or feed and clean the baby. When Kari got home and she saw what had happened she was not happy with him.

I liked reading this book because it makes you realise that everybody works hard at whatever jobs that are doing. Ola thought that he could do all the jobs for Kari without any problems but he made alot of mess. This story has also taught me to appreciate what everyone does for me, especially my mum and dad.

How The Grinch Stole Christmas! by Dr. Seuss

Down in Whoville all the Whos love Christmas a lot. But the Grinch hated Christmas. He doesn't like the noise, the feasts or the singing. This is because his heart is at least two sizes too small. He decides to stop Christmas happening. So he made a quick Santa Claus outfit, he got a sledge and made his dog Max look like a reindeer. He sqeezed down the Whos chimneys and took all their presents, decorations, food, Christmas trees even the log for the fire. All that was left was a crumb too small for a mouse. He went to dump all the stuff over the side of a mountain but stopped to hear all the Whos crying when they saw Christmas had gone. But to his surprise he heard the sound of happy voices singing. He was very puzzled for three hours til his puzzler was sore. He realised that Christmas meant more than just things and he couldn't stop it from coming. His heart grew three sizes that day and he took all the things back to Whoville where he joined in the fun. And he carved the roast beast.
I like this book because it tells you that Christmas means more than just presents. It means that it is more important to be together and to share love.
